educational institutions.
Do your students say,
“I’m only a kid. What can I do?”
The answer for them is, a lot.
We believe educational institutions are building the leaders of tomorrow, the kind of leaders that will pioneer transformation by leading with knowledge but also leading with empathy. Our partnership with your institution can give your students the opportunity to exercise that empathy, building it into an active social pillar of their own community.
There is no age to make a difference. And no better time than today.

But Why Sustainable Rural Development?
When a village doesn’t have access to light, clean water, food security, children are among those most impacted. In darkness, classrooms remain unengaging, windowless homes impossible to study in. With mothers leaving in the early hours to collect water, children are at times left to their own devices, hungry, and with the choice of coming to school or not. Girls are often pulled out of school to help the mothers with this chore.
Lack of clean drinking water and no sanitation facilities leads to diarrhea, one of the leading causes for child mortality. With limited access to high school education, the hopes and dreams of a child in the village are drowned in his poverty stricken existence. For students, to see the plight of other, less privileged students, the engagement is instant.

What Can They Do?
By forming a team of Changemakers, the students champion the cause of Project Chirag in your institution and the community.
From spreading awareness about the rural issues and the need for sustainability to running creative fundraising campaigns, and joining us on field trips to the villages to participate in the actual installation of an intervention, they can make a difference in the lives of children and young people just like them.
